As pioneers in wound irrigation, Irrimax has been integral in providing an alternative to traditional irrigation.  With the introduction of its flagship, patented product, Irrisept, in 2010, the company has seen widespread adoption in the U.S. and internationally.

Irrimax Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Innovation Technologies, Inc. Innovation Technologies holds the rights to US and worldwide patents that provide broad protection for the use of low-concentration chlorhexidine gluconate (less than 1%) technology.

Our Team

Mark Alvarez

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Alvarez was most recently chairman, president & CEO of BC Technical, a healthcare services company focused on diagnostic imaging solutions for hospitals & clinics across the US. Prior to the BC Technical purchase alongside MSouth Equity Partners, Mark consulted with private equity groups providing strategic & operational guidance on potential acquisitions.

Mark previously served as chairman-elect & COO of Microtek Medical, a global manufacturer of custom infection control products, and president of Recall North America, a document management solutions leader. Mark brings a wealth of experience in funding, leadership, and acquisitions, as well as a 20-year tenure in sales and executive-level management at GE.

Michael Gil

Chief Operating Officer

Michael Gil has over 20 years of experience in global sales, marketing, operations, product development, strategic planning & finance—all in the healthcare industry. He is an outstanding strategic planner and team leadership expert, with extensive cross-functional management expertise. During his career he has been integrally involved in business & product development, having launched more than 300 products generating over $750 million in global sales. Michael has led the development and implementation of Global Portfolio projects prioritization and company-wide product life cycle management programs as well as leading numerous integration projects in mergers & acquisitions. He is listed as an inventor in seven issued US patents and is an active member of various healthcare industry organizations.

Prior to joining Irrimax, Michael was vice president for Ecolab Inc. and Microtek Medical, a global leader in infection control specializing in design, manufacturing, and marketing expertise with employees and facilities in the US, Europe, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and China.

Todd Stein

Executive Vice President

Todd Stein is responsible for the legal, regulatory, quality, and medical affairs functions of the company. Todd previously managed his own law firm in Atlanta and served as the legislative director and chief counsel for a US Senator in Washington, D.C., where he worked extensively on federal healthcare policy, including the Affordable Care Act and Medicare reform.

Todd holds degrees from Emory University (BA), King’s College, University of London (MA), and Vanderbilt University (JD).

Gene Ritter

SVP, US Commercial Operations

Gene Ritter has more than 20 years of experience in medical device sales, sales training, strategic account management, and GPO management, along with extensive executive team sales management. Prior to joining Irrimax, Gene was VP, Sales – Surgical Solutions at Ecolab Healthcare, where he was responsible for sales of more than $100 million and a 70-person sales team.

His previous roles demonstrate a record of increasing growth and success at the Ecolab and Microtek medical sales organizations. Gene has extensive experience building successful sales organizations in support of surgical and infection prevention solutions and is a valuable asset to the Irrimax team.

Sharon Klinck

SVP, Finance

Sharon Klinck has more than 25 years of experience serving as accounting manager and controller for small, medium, and growing businesses. Having managed enterprise financial activities—including tax, audit, HR, and finance operations—for national and global companies, Sharon is well-positioned to assist Irrimax as the company expands sales in the US and worldwide.

Prior to joining Irrimax, Sharon was controller for Computer Exchange, Ltd, a global distributor of printer replacement parts and supplies where she managed all financial activities and audit compliance. Sharon also served as controller for Sage Software, responsible for all aspects of the finance group and company financial activities for its Small Business Division.
