Mark Alvarez was most recently Chairman, President & CEO of BC Technical, a Healthcare services company focused on Diagnostic Imaging solutions for hospitals & clinics across the US. Prior to the BC Technical purchase alongside MSouth Equity Partners, Mark consulted with Private Equity groups providing strategic & operational guidance on potential acquisitions. Alvarez previously served as Chairman-Elect & COO of Microtek Medical, a global manufacturer of custom infection control products, and President of Recall North America, a document management solutions leader. Alvarez brings a wealth of experience in funding, leadership, and acquisitions, as well as, a twenty-year tenure in sales and executive-level management at GE.
Carolyn Twomey, BSN, RN
Global Vice President, Clinical & Research
Carolyn Twomey brings more than three decades of experience as a clinician, executive manager and clinical consultant to her responsibilities at Irrimax Corporation, where she works directly with leading clinical researchers to design clinical trials and ensure clinical program accuracy. She also creates accredited continuing education programs, provides clinical support for field sales personnel and leads the company’s clinical advisory council.
Before joining Irrimax, Twomey was Chief Clinical Officer for Microdermis Corporation and President of Pivotal Clinical Solutions. She led Molnlycke Health Care’s global clinical services organization, and held multiple leadership positions within the company’s US division. Earlier in her career, Twomey excelled as a perioperative nurse, critical care nurse manager and director of interventional cardiology. She also served as assistant professor of surgery and director of the Advanced Life Support Center at the Medical College of Virginia.
Twomey has published articles in Journal of the American College of Surgeons, AORN Journal, Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Safety, Infection Control Today, Managing Infection Control and Surgical Products, among many others. Twomey is a member of AORN and formerly served as trustee on the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Foundation Board. She is a member of Surgical Infection Society and serves on the Membership Committee, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Professionals in Infection Control. She continues to speak at conferences throughout the US and abroad and is considered a key thought leader in her field.
Sharon Klinck has more than 25 years of experience serving as accounting manager and controller for small, medium and growing businesses. Having managed enterprise financial activities – including tax, audit, HR and finance operations – for national and global companies, Klinck is well positioned to assist Irrimax as the company expands sales in the US and worldwide.
Prior to joining Irrimax, Klinck was Controller for Computer Exchange, Ltd, a global distributor of printer replacement parts and supplies where she managed all financial activities and audit compliance. Klinck also served as controller for Sage Software, responsible for all aspects of the finance group and company financial activities for its Small Business Division.
VP, International Business Development
Sam Zaidspiner brings more than twenty years of experience developing and launching products for a variety of markets including medical, consumer and packaging. He successfully directed the manufacturing launch of three Irrimax Corporation products and led the clinical and documentation submission process to achieve FDA approval for the Irrisept irrigation product.
Prior to joining Irrimax, Zaidspiner founded and served as President of Slingshot Product Development Group, Inc., where he led the development and launch of innovations for a variety of well-known medical and consumer companies. Before that, he helped build the Atlanta offices of the Compression prototyping company, where he worked with companies such as Kimberly-Clark, Coca-Cola, Telxon, Siemens, Ryobi, Frigidaire and Lucent.
Eugene (Gene) Ritter
Vice President Sales
Gene Ritter has more than 20 years of experience in medical device sales, including sales training, strategic account management, GPO negotiation and extensive sales management. Prior to joining Irrimax, Ritter was VP, Sales – Surgical Solutions at Ecolab Healthcare where he was responsible for sales of more than $100 million and a 70-person sales team.
Ritter’s previous roles demonstrate a record of increasing responsibility with the Ecolab and Microtek medical sales organizations. Ritter has extensive experience in building successful sales organizations in support of surgical and infection prevention solutions.
Ritter is an active member of the Association of peri-Operative Registered Nurses.
